Throughout my education and career, I have felt the need to expand my medical armamentarium. After completing my undergraduate studies at UMASS Amherst, I spent several years counseling. Although I considered talk therapy to be a worthwhile career, I strongly felt the need to offer other modalities. This need lead me to attend graduate school at PCOM New York/San Diego to pursue Eastern Medicine. While completing the graduate program, I received National Diplomate status in Chinese Herbology, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The Eastern philosophy of mind/body/spirit greatly benefited my patients; however, there was still something lacking.....Western Medicine. With this realization, I entered a post graduate program at Cedar Sinai for acupuncture orthopedics. The program exposed me to more Western technique for diagnosing and treating. Upon finishing the program, I received a Diplomate in Acupuncture Orthopedics.
Today, I continue to blend Eastern and Western Medicine in my practice.
